Location: Dusseldorf, Germany

Salary: 30,000 - 70,000

Description:

Assists clients in meeting their business objectives by providing superior professional services and solutions, and to foster a relationship with client base that achieves Sybase Professional Services (SPS) business goals and objectives. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training and deployment. Analyzes, designs, develops, modifies and maintains software and systems or other related data processing activities. Project management responsibilities include project management within budget, resource allocation and supervision, interface with company and client managers, and cost/schedule monitoring. Financial responsibilities include project cost estimating, proposal generation and invoicing.


Required Skills:

- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline - or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge in: SQL, ideally based on Sybase, Oracle, MS-SQL or DB2.
- Knowledge of either PowerBuilder or of Object Oriented Programming Concepts and Languages (like Java, ideally also J2EE, Component architectures,...)
- Good Consulting-SoftSkills (listening, analytical Skills, communicating professionally,...)


Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of Modelling Concepts, UML.
- Willing to travel and to spend significant time at a client site.
- Problem Solving/Judgment and Decision Making Skills
