We are looking for a Sybase Database Administrator (DBA) to join our firm and help us during a time of unprecedented growth. Your responsibilities will be planning, developing, implementing, and supporting database systems and related technologies. This position provides database systems that fully support the requirements of SubscriberMail’s business processes, applications, and systems. This position is also accountable for establishing standards and best practices for database administration
Required Skills:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in database administration.
- Experience with Sybase ASE versions 12 to 15
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in information technology.
- Technical knowledge of relational database management systems including database management systems (DBMS) configuration, DBMS internal structures, physical database design concepts, database access and query languages, and DBMS administrative tools.
- Strong DBMS performance and tuning skills.
- Proficient knowledge of operating system administrative concepts.
- Hands-on experience with shell scripting languages and operating system or database utilities.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with database query languages including SQL
Desired Skills:
- Expert level knowledge and having at least five years experience in UNIX bourne shell and perl scripting
- UNIX administrator's understanding of Red Hat Linux or similar. Exposure to SQL.
- Sybase Replication Server=Nice to have

- Provide management team with a support level that provides a technology vision and leadership for developing and implementing IT initiatives that create and maintain leadership for the enterprise.
- Work with internal development team in solving complicated issues for mission critical deliverables.
