Position Summary: SQL DBA
A successful candidate for the Report Developer and DBA position will be tasked with developing and maintaining reporting applications utilizing MSSQL, MS Reporting Services and all DBA responsibilities for MS SQL.


Major Responsibilities and Functions:
- Understands and integrates the data from various sources
- Assures data are complete and accurate
- Meet with end users to determine reporting needs and specifications.
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain new and existing reports and reporting applications ensuring compliance with established programming and applications standards.
- Prepare and distribute reports.
- Create import/export programs needed to ensure updated, accurate data
- Design new databases or changes to existing ones
- Structure, implement, maintain, document and control the Microsoft SQL database environments.


Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience with MS-Reporting Services and other MS report development tools
- Experience with SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, functions and transactions analysis
- DBA experience with MS SQL Server 2000 (2005 a plus) to include installing, configuring, tuning, optimizing, sizing, capacity planning, back up and recovery and managing the various recent versions of MS SQL Server in development and production environments.
- Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and time management skills required
- Good verbal and written communications skills

2 + Years Experience in the DataWare Housing.

Hands on experience in the MDX development using MS SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services Able to create and apply MDX queries in a variety of scenarios designed to meet specific real-world needs.
Should have thorough working Knowledge in OLAP cubes
Use MDX to navigate the structure of an OLAP data source (our cube);
Obtain information about the dimension hierarchy and its members with MDX expressions;
Create a Calculated Member via an MDX expression, focusing our initial efforts on using constant values;
Use MDX to perform conditional tests and comparisons within
expressions;
Query the multidimensional data source (our cube) and return values
